To accommodate for a wider range of functionality, Proel has designed a series of LASER cutting machines equipped with a videocamera
installed on the cutting head. To support these video equipped LASER machines, Proel also developed VideoCut
software to automatically recognize shapes, labels or drawings on the material being used. To simplify,
one could say that the machine itself is the brawn, the videocamera is the eyes and VideoCut software is the brain.
Below is a brief explanation of how VideoCut is used to cut a composition of oval-shaped woven labels. In the case of
rectangular labels, the process is simpler because when scanning with FocusCutIII, fewer trace points
are required.
