How To Bury Your Competition
|
A LaserBridge offers any embroidery shop an enormous
advantage over the competition. Not only can you turn orders incrementally
faster, you can offer your customers a whole new world of innovative looks
and special effects not possible without a LaserBridge.
If you're tired of getting into price wars with clients who are comparing
your services with other shops, the LaserBridge is your ticket to showing
your clients that your shop is a step ahead of the rest.

Because fabric does not have to be positioned, it
also does not need any type of backing or support. This opens up the doors
to a much wider range of appliqué fabrics than ever before.
|
|
Because this technology is so new, embroiderers are just beginning
to explore the possibilities, but some of the most popular new fabrics include
T-shirt jersey, cotton/polyester fleece, 100% polyester fleece, denim, suede,
cotton twill, and felt.

|
|
In addition to new fabrics, the LaserBridge is capable of creating a host of new looks.
One of the most
popular techniques is distressed appliqué, which has been gaining momentum
since major retailers like Hollister, Abercrombie & Fitch , and Aeropostal started offering
it in their stores. |
|
Reverse applique is another exciting new technique possible
with a LaserBridge machine.

With a laser cutter you can do multiple layered designs as quickly as a single layer,
and create innovative variations of stacked layers that can be kiss cut to let the background
fabric peek through. Imagine being able to play with different thicknesses, textures, colors,
and dimension to come up with unique new looks never before seen. |
|
A LaserBridge also allows for much more intricate and detailed applique
work than previously possible. The boundaries of appliqué have now been pushed out further to allow
for all kinds of new possibilities.

How It Works
|
The LaserBridge uses a high-speed galvanometic
laser that moves along a beam positioned above the embroidery heads. This beam can
be used over embroidery machines ranging from 10 feet (3 meters) up to 120 feet
(36 meters), and it can be used with any model of embroidery machine.
The laser bridge machine has a variable cutting area of 200mmX200mm (8 inches) up
to 600mmX600mm (24 inches) for each embroidery head. It is PC controlled via two
interface cards. The accompanying software allows the user to control laser power,
speed, repetitions, and designs.
The high-performance laser CO2 laser is air
or water cooled and an external fume suction device can be connected to any filtering
system or simply exhausted out of the building.
